EMDR Therapy in Los Angeles
Are you struggling with the weight of trauma, grief, anxiety, addiction, or a major life change? You don’t have to carry it alone. Healing is possible—and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) can help.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Los Angeles, specializing in trauma and recovery. Since 2010, I’ve had the honor of walking beside clients on their path toward healing, self-discovery, and freedom from the pain of the past.

What is EMDR Therapy?
EMDR is a highly researched, evidence-based form of psychotherapy designed to help the brain process and release distressing memories. Just as the body knows how to heal from a physical wound, the mind also has a natural ability to move toward health. Sometimes, trauma blocks this process, leaving us feeling stuck in cycles of pain, fear, or self-doubt.
EMDR helps remove those blocks, allowing the brain’s natural healing system to resume. Through structured protocols and bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements, sound, or tapping), EMDR helps clients reprocess painful experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

How Does EMDR Help?
EMDR therapy can bring relief and lasting change for people who find it difficult to talk about their past or who feel overwhelmed by traditional talk therapy. It is especially effective in treating trauma and PTSD, but it is also used successfully with:
-
Anxiety and panic attacks
-
Depression
-
Grief and loss
-
Addictions
-
Eating disorders
-
Low self-worth or negative core beliefs
-
Stress from major life transitions
What to Expect
During EMDR, we work gently and at your pace. You remain fully present and in control throughout the process. Many clients describe EMDR as empowering—because instead of re-living trauma, they find themselves releasing it. Over time, old wounds lose their intensity, and new perspectives take root, allowing you to move forward with greater resilience and peace.
